Member Responsibilities and Code of Conduct

As a member of Agape Matrimony Service (AMS), you agree to abide by the following responsibilities and behavioral standards:

Due Diligence and Verification

You are solely responsible for verifying the credentials and authenticity of any prospective match. This includes, but is not limited to, confirming details such as marital status, educational background, financial situation, occupation, character, and health status. AMS is not liable for any misrepresentations made by other members.
Photograph Accuracy

To ensure better matching and search results, members are expected to upload a recent photograph taken within the last three (3) months. Uploading outdated images, images of others, or providing false/inaccurate information is a breach of AMS Terms and may result in suspension or deletion of your profile.
Active Participation

To enhance your chances of finding a suitable match, members are encouraged to log in regularly and send expressions of interest to potential matches.
Post-Match Profile Deletion

Once your marriage is finalized, you must either delete your AMS profile yourself or notify the AMS team to deactivate or remove your profile.
Secure Access

Members agree to access AMS services only from secure devices, using reliable software and networks, and ideally from private settings to ensure the safety and privacy of their information.
Prohibited Use of Bots or Automation

The use of any automated tools—including bots, chatbots, scripts, or other web automation technologies—for interacting with the AMS website is strictly prohibited
Security Compliance

Members shall not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the AMS Website or App, nor attempt to breach or bypass any security mechanisms put in place by AMS.
Authorized Payments Only

All membership or service-related payments must be made only to the official AMS account. Members are strictly prohibited from making payments or transferring funds to any AMS team member or board member personally.
Complaint Resolution

Members agree to direct all complaints or grievances directly to the AMS team. Public airing of complaints on social media or other public platforms is discouraged, as it undermines the integrity and privacy of the service.

Membership Information

 

A) Membership Eligibility:

 

To become a member, you must be:

  • A Sri Lankan National, or
  • A Person of Sri Lankan Origin (e.g., born in Sri Lanka but living abroad, intending to marry someone of Sri Lankan origin living in Sri Lanka), or A Person of Sri Lankan Descent or Heritage.

 

B) Membership Confirmation:

 

By becoming a member, you confirm that:

  • You are 21 years or older, and unmarried
  • If you’re living abroad or are a citizen/resident of another country, you:
    • Are legally allowed to marry under the laws of that country, and Will comply with Sri Lankan laws when marrying someone of Sri Lankan origin.
  • Only the person who created the profile (i.e., the bride or groom) can access it.
  • Parents, relatives, or others (pastors/Guardians) can access or manage a registrant’s profile by using their respective username and passwords ONLY
  • Divorced individuals are not allowed to register.

 

Application Process

 

To maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the Agape Matrimony Service (AMS), all applicants are required to comply with the following:

 

Complete Application


Your application must be fully and accurately completed in all required fields.

 

Confidentiality Agreement Signature


All applicants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the privacy of all parties involved.

Verification by Pastor or guardian or spiritual mentor


A pastor or a well-known, trusted guardian, spiritual mentor must verify and witness that the information you have provided is accurate and truthful. This verification also affirms a commitment to confidentiality.

Membership Fee


The applicable membership fee must be paid in full for the specified membership duration before your application is processed.

Photographs


You may upload up to three to five within 3 months old photographs, which will be used for your profile.

 

Privacy of Contact Information

Your email address and phone number will remain hidden from public view. If another member expresses interest and requests your contact details, AMS will notify you first. Your contact information will be shared only upon your consent

Account Security and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your user ID, password, one-time passwords (OTP), and any other authentication details associated with your AMS account. It is your duty to ensure that access to your device (computer or mobile or tab) is restricted to prevent unauthorized use of your account.

 

Please note that we will never request your password under any circumstances. You are strongly advised not to share your login credentials with any third party. We also recommend changing your PW every week or month.

 

By accessing and using our services, you agree to accept full responsibility for all activities conducted through your account, whether authorized by you or not.
